This has been a really strange and sad summer, so I apologize for the delay in blog posts. In playing catch up, I realize I never posted about my Iceland fashion! My friends poked fun at my attempt to stay fashion-forward while hiking around geysers and glaciers, but I had a lot of fun with it.
Not only was it strange to experience sunlight for almost 24 hours a day, but it was also strange to be wearing a coat in June. I once again featured my favorite from Versace. It was a fantastic purchase I made through The Real Real. I actually just picked up a few more great coats from there, and look forward to showcasing them soon.
Packing for this trip was all about layers – sweaters, cardigans, t-shirts and tanks. As the Versace coat was my statement piece, I made sure to pack a variety of neutrals (mostly black) to circulate around it. For our first night out on the town, I pulled together an ensemble I hadn’t thought to try before.
In this outfit, I paired a bulky cardigan from Vetta with a long silver skirt and my combat boots. My hot pink lippy was my color pop. I really loved how this turned out. I felt fashion forward but was also warm and comfortable.

The next day, during our first tour, I paired some boyfriend jeans with my new Converse platform high-tops. These shoes are so comfortable, and I have been seeing them everywhere lately. Of course the only downside is in trying to keep them clean!

When it came time to dress for a night on the town, it was back to layering – tank, cardigan, coat, etc. This time I matched my wide-leg black jeans with my new fav tank from Quince. The flats are also extremely comfortable and even more versatile – you can alternate tassels and gems on the top!

I was really pleased with how my outfits turned out in Iceland. While not always the most practical, they sure were fun! 🙂
