Sometimes I can’t believe how lucky and blessed I am. This week my job brought me to Mallorca, Spain. My days were filled with trainings, and my evenings answering emails by the pool.
I had never been to Spain before and Mallorca was a great place to cut my teeth on. The island is so naturally beautiful. There are flowers and greenery everywhere, as well as loads of produce. I was staying at the brand new Park Hyatt Mallorca in Canyamel, and it was well worth the 50 minute ride from the airport. The hotel is built into this beautiful hillside, with the villas and hotel rooms hosted up and down.
Upon arrival, it was like walking into a stunning and quant Spanish village. All buildings were made with this beautiful white rock that reflected the sunshine perfectly. At sunset, these white rocks turned almost pink as the sun sank into the ocean.
The food was another incredible element of the hotel. I ate Spanish tapas and cured hams. I snacked on olives like it was my last day on Earth. I dined on fresh sea bass that had been plucked from the ocean that morning. If this was Spanish life, I could definitely get used to it.
As I was visiting for work, I did not venture much outside of the property. For the three days I was there, I actually really enjoyed walking up and down the property, from the pool to meals to my room and back. At every view point, there was another reason to snap a photo. I couldn’t get enough.
And all the while, a gorgeous sea breeze floated gently in the background. It was truly heavenly.
Now that the work visit it over, I very much look forward to planning my return – for holiday of course!
