Going Back to San Diego

It’s been many years since I had last been to San Diego, California, but even a short trip never dissapoints.

This California beach town is one for the record books. The endless sunshine and close proximity to the ocean makes it easy to understand why this is such a beloved city.

I had the pleasure of spending a few work days here. My hotel, the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay, gave me bay access and it was wonderful.

I could feel the sunshine on my skin flowing in from the windows, and hear the seals from my room. They chirped away, sharing their “tea” quite often with each other (sound on). Was very humorous!

I mean, San Diego has it all. One evening, a colleague and I enjoyed dinner by the ocean. Only a 5 minute ride from our hotel and the salt sea air was on my face.

A Halloween movie on a rooftop, which I had always wanted to do, was the perfect way to spend a night close to Halloween. Popcorn and red wine make for a great combo, just in case you were wondering. 🙂

Morning puppy yoga absolutely blew my mind! The joy and peace it brought me was out of this world.

It really doesn’t get better than this. And funny enough, puppy yoga and the rooftop cinema were both things I had been trying to do in Chicago! Guess you sometimes have to leave your hometown to get sh*t done.

Highly recommend this city to escape those winter-time blues!
