I’m back – back to blogging and back to that travel life! Life has been great lately, but mom life, wife life, friend life and work life don’t always allow for blog life. And now that my travel life is coming back? Well, I guess we will see. 🙂
I am thrilled because travel is one of my most favorite things. This summer’s travel has been for both personal and work reasons. My most recent trips were to Louisville, St. Louis and Nassau.
My first trip to Louisville was for a family wedding. Louisville was one of our first destinations after moving back home from Switzerland. We fell in love with this adorable city, and on this recent trip, we spent more time in the downtown area.
But the best part of this trip was all of the quality family time. My siblings and I danced the night away!! We shared a ton of laughs as well!
Next up was St. Louis. While I didn’t get to explore much of the city, my room had a perfect view of the stunning Arch.
Known as the Gateway Arch, it was completed in 1968 and built as a monument to the expansion of the USA westward. Interestingly, the original plans started in the 1930s. It clearly took a long time to come to fruition.
I loved my view of this gorgeous structure. In fact, I took multiple photos of it at the different times of day!
A week after St. Louis, I was off to Nassau, Bahamas! I’ve been to the Bahamas before, but as part of a cruise. This was my first time traveling to and staying on the island.
I stayed at the Baha Mar complex and was blown away by how enormous it is. It reminded me of those massive hotels in Las Vegas, but a way better version because it backed up to the sea.
There is a massive casino in the center of the building and tons of different restaurants and pools. The resort is designed in a way that makes you never want to leave. You have everything you could want or need right in one spot. The resort even has its own flock of flamingos!
I was only in Nassau for a few short days, which was not nearly long enough. I tried my best to experience the delicious restaurants and bars, and visit the stunning pools.
